Best Summer Yet!
During these challenging times, we at Learning Hive are continuing with our mission of supporting working parents this summer. We recognize, now more than ever, the importance of a quality learning environment to give parents peace of mind when they have to work. With all the spring cancellations of school, sports, and other activities, a fun summer at camp is needed by all. Please be assured that we are taking the Coronavirus situation and its potential impact on our community and beyond very seriously.
We are reopening our center for Summer Camp starting on June 1st, 2020, after being closed for the past two and a half months. During that time, we focused on planning how to best serve our clients when we returned. Our goal as always is to meet and exceed the current health and safety standards in place by the CDC and Bright From the Start-DECAL for childcare centers that are reopening.
Here are a few of the ways we are working to meet the guidelines
- Modified Hours: Our centers will open from 6:30 am – 6:30 pm to give our team enough time to ensure the centers are thoroughly clean and disinfected before and after the day using enhanced cleaning procedures.
- Limited group sizes: There will be no more than 10 people per room including teachers and children will be grouped by age/grade.
- Health Screening: We will conduct temperature checks for children and staff on arrival and departure and at designated times throughout the day.
- Restricted Access-Designated staff will escort children in and out of the centers and no visitors will be allowed in the center.
- Continued monitoring- We continue to stay up to date on CDC and Bright From the Start guidelines and will make the necessary adjustments when needed.
Our summer STEAM activities are designed to support the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of children. This year camp activates will focus more on individual exploration and small group projects. Our daily activities have been planned to allow children to interact but still be able to stay in their personal “bubbles”. We keep your child's mind and body active while nurturing core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
