LEGO lovers! Have you had a chance to visit the LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Atlanta? It's quite a sight to see. This amazing indoor center has something for everyone across all the ages. We had the opportunity to visit during media night to view the LEGO Movie 2 days and my kids (ages 7-10) had a blast!
Some of my kids' favorite attractions were Kingdom Quest, LEGO Racers: Build & Test, Pirate Adventure Island and the LEGO 4D Cinema. Kingdom Quest is a moving ride in the dark where we got to zap bad characters and keep score. LEGO Racers: Build and Test is a section dedicated to creating your very own racing car and testing it out on their tracks. The kids really enjoyed themselves and kept working on improving their cars to make them faster. Pirate Adventure Island was really fun too because it had a delightful playground along with a small water island where kids can play with boats and race them.
I think the best attraction was the LEGO 4D Cinema. We got to watch a short movie continuing off from the LEGO Movie 2. Can't say anymore about the clip because I don't want to spoil it for you (Sorry!). Needless to say, it was very funny and interactive.
The aforementioned were just some of highlights of our trip. But I promise, all ages will find something fun to do. So, take a detour.......explore Phipps Mall and then head into LEGOLAND Discovery Center. There is even a cafe inside (yums!) I would probably say that you can complete all attractions under 2 hours, but the kids really could stay longer if you are not rushed for time.
