After a fire in the pottery studio, and the sprinkler system malfunctioning and causing a flood at the INK, Interactive Neighborhood for Kids, Museum in Gainesville, they are renovated and reopen. My family went on opening weekend and most of the old exhibits are still there, or at least the theme is the same, but with new everything. I made a video of some of the different rooms and oppurtunities that the INK Museum offers kids. In my opinion, even though Gainesville is further away than Atlanta for me, I much prefer going to the INK Museum over Children's Museum of Atlanta.
INK is located in the Brenau University building and has several different rooms for imaginitive "real" life play. There is a bank, wiith a huge dry-erase check that you can practice making out like in real life, plus the bank has budget sheets, so kids can get an idea of how to manage money. There is a grocery store, which is my daughter's favorite, a plane you can climb into, plus other areas that ignite kids' imaginations.
Admission is only $8 per person
INK is located at: 999 Chestnut St. #11 Gainesville GA 30501
