Atlanta Botanical Gardens' Garden Lights, Holiday Nights Review

By Maria Vargas November 26, 2018

It’s Christmas season y’all! And with that, there are so many things happening in Atlanta. I looked at a few options and decided to take the family to the Garden Lights – Holiday nights at the Atlanta Botanical Garden.

We arrived at 5:00 pm and were able to take in a few of the decoration displays while the sun was still out. The displays are so intricate, and you can tell so much work was put in to each one. We wanted to keep walking but opted to get dinner first at the Longleaf restaurant. Their service and attention were exceptional. I have to say that the chicken pot pie is my all-time favorite!

After a delicious dinner, we did the full-on walking tour of the lights. Music played along with the lights while the fire pits were up and running for smores. The weather was just perfect for a hot cup of cocoa and listening to the carolers nearby. The ambiance was relaxing, festive and cozy all at the same time. The kids were enjoying themselves and taking it all in as well. There seem to be no rush while visiting this majestic place. We kept a steady pace until we visited the Nature Wonders exhibition. Picture a forest with dangling strings of color lights that played to musical classics. Even weather sounds were played out among the string lights. It was truly an amazing display! It was our most favorite exhibition of the night. And there’s something for everyone to love here. Which one will be your favorite exhibition?

Consider the Atlanta Botanical Garden if your looking to spend 2-3 hours with the family for the Christmas Season. It’s worth it.

Happy Holidays!
