The Buford Corn Maze, a family-friendly entertainment complex with
loads of fun activities in addition to the maze, opens its eighth season on Saturday, Sept. 3. Located just outside the perimeter and convenient to metro Atlanta families, Buford Corn Maze attracts thousands of youth and families each year. The corn maze, on Friendship Road in Buford (Exit 8, I-985), is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through September – then expanding to include Mondays
and Wednesdays in October. Activities at the family attraction will run through Nov. 13. “We are a quick trip from the hustle and bustle of Atlanta and provide fun for visitors of all ages,” said Rodney Miller, who founded the Buford Corn Maze and now operates it with his wife Kendra and partners Jerome and Tina Beggs. “Our goal is for everyone in the family to have fun when they come to visit."
While the corn maze is the main attraction, there are plenty of other treats – including a hayride, popcorn jumping pillow, animal viewing area, corn box, pumpkin patch, pony rides and an expanded kid’s CORNer play area featuring a kid’s mini-maze, playground, bounce house and more.
In late September, the Buford Corn Maze’s Haunted Forest comes to life for the Halloween season on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It will be open each night during the week of Halloween. "We have a lot of fun activities that keep bringing families and groups back every year, " Tina Beggs said. “It’s great entertainment for school or church groups.” Times vary throughout the season with hours expanding later in the fall. In September, the maze is open 5-10 p.m. on Fridays, and noon-10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Haunted Forest debuts Sept. 23 and will be open from dark until close on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Buford Corn Maze will be open all day on Labor Day, Sept. 5. Hours are expanded in October to 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays; 10 a.m. to midnight Fridays
and Saturdays; and 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on Sundays. On Columbus Day, October 10, the attraction will be open all day, from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. In November, the Buford Corn Maze returns to a Friday-Sunday schedule with Nov. 6 as the last night for the Haunted Forest.
Admission is $15 per person for the maze and $15 for the Haunted Forest. A combo ticket for the maze and the Haunted Forest is $25. All admission tickets include access to other activities including the bounce house, unlimited hayrides, animal viewing area, corn box, kid’s mini-maze, kid’s CORNer and popcorn jumping pillow. Kids 3 and under are free with adult ticket purchase. Group rates are available for a minimum of 20 people with advanced notice.
